About the Aurelio's Rock Lizard

Aurelio's rock lizard (Iberolacerta aurelioi) is a species of lizard in the family Lacertidae. The species is endemic to the Iberian Peninsula. The specific name, aurelioi, is in honor of Aurelio Arribas, the father of the original describer of this species, Oscar J. Arribas.

A small species, I. aurelioi may attain a snout-to-vent length (SVL) of 6 cm (2.4 in). I. aurelioi is oviparous. I. aurelioi is threatened by habitat loss. Arnold EN, Arribas O, Carranza S (2007).
