Jiuzhaigou National Park is a protected mountain reserve nestled in the Min Shan mountain range of Sichuan, China. This high-altitude grassland habitat features sweeping alpine meadows, dense thickets, and deep river valleys carved into dramatic peaks. Unlike lower tropical reserves, this dramatic terrain relies on cold-adapted flora and high-elevation terrain to sustain its wildlife populations.

What visitors say
We were at Jiuzhaigou National Park on 2 days before 1st May where advices all around were to avoid visiting on the 1st May holiday.
I thought what Jiuzhaigou famous for was the dead trees lying on the deep blue lake bottom.
Chuanzhusi was another tourist town, as it is the gateway towards the ever more popular Jiuzhaigou and Huanglong, we walked around town as rain started to come in and didn't really added that many interesting birds, the Red-billed Choughs roosting under the roofs probably were smarter than we were.
Jiuzhaigou is the most incredible national park I’ve ever been to, and the highlight of my recent trip to China.
