What visitors say
There are plenty of mammals quite close to the hotel: we saw Lesser Spot-nosed and King Colobus Monkeys from the dining area along with what was likely a Bushbuck next to the lodge.
Quickly scrolling through the footage on the first camera, we already spotted some gems on the small display, including a daytime visit by a Jentink’s duiker and a white-necked picatharte.
After breakfast we went back out to the west end of Janjanbureh and had some great birding in nearly 2 hours we saw 55 species the notables were Violet Turaco, Black-headed Lapwing, Bearded Barbet, Eurasian Wryneck & Pin-tailed Whydah ..
I spotted a Collared Owlet with a skink in its talons near-by, I ran and told everyone, but by the time we got there the bird was gone!
