About the Double-collared Seedeater

The double-collared seedeater (Sporophila caerulescens) is a species of bird in the family Thraupidae. It is found in Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Paraguay, Peru, and Uruguay, as well as the southern border of Colombia on the Amazon River.

The double-collared seedeater is only found in the southern Amazon Basin, limited by the Amazon River as its northern limit.

In the west Amazon Basin it is found in eastern regions of Peru, the Ucayali River areas, and mostly the eastern bank of the north-flowing river. In the southeast Basin... Wikipedia →
